I have had extensive training…
After graduating from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), I began my journey at The Sutherland Hospital where my passion for women’s health was born. My specialist training continued at St George and Royal Women’s Hospitals, before embarking on subspecialty training in minimally invasive advanced pelvic surgery (MIGS) with the Sydney Women’s Endosurgery Centre (SWEC). I hold a Masters of Reproductive Medicine from UNSW, where I also serve as a conjoint lecturer.
I am a staff specialist at The Sutherland Hospital, a training supervisor for the Sydney Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery (SMIGS) Unit, and an advanced minimally invasive pelvic surgeon at Kareena, St George and Hurstville Private hospitals.

Minimally Invasive Surgery
I genuinely believe in the future of minimally invasive surgery. I have been fortunate enough to complete a prestigious two-year fellowship in minimally invasive advanced pelvic surgery with the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) Society.
My training gave me the opportunity to work with some of the best surgeons in the country and across the globe. I have also published extensively and presented at conferences both locally and internationally.
I have developed extensive skills in laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgical treatments, with a particular focus on complex procedures such as difficult hysterectomies, large fibroid removals, advanced endometriosis and pelvic floor reconstruction for prolapse and incontinence. What truly drives me is the ability to offer patients minimally invasive options for these challenging surgeries, particularly when they may have been told it was not possible. It's incredibly rewarding to witness the positive impact these advanced techniques can have in improving patients' quality of life.
I have a particular interest in urogynaecology…
During my training, I honed my skills in treating prolapse and urinary incontinence. I am passionate about offering a holistic approach to pelvic floor health as an experienced local practitioner.
After witnessing some of the devastating impacts of poorly placed mesh products, I am a strong advocate for the advancement of non-mesh alternatives for prolapse and incontinence. I also offer specialised urodynamics services to provide you with all the information you need to guide your decisions on treatment options.
FERTILITY CARE
I have a strong interest in fertility care, with a focus on treating endometriosis and uterine fibroids. Minimally invasive surgery for these conditions is notoriously difficult, and unfortunately many patients who seek care outside of specialised centres experience suboptimal surgical outcomes. At the Sydney Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery (SMIGS) unit, I collaborate with a dedicated team of specialists in advanced minimally invasive pelvic surgery. This multidisciplinary approach involves gynaecological, colorectal, and urological surgeons, ensuring the best possible surgical outcomes for our patients.
Additionally, I have contributed to research on the latest IVF treatments and hold a Masters in Reproductive Medicine. Through our partnership with the Miranda City Fertility laboratory, we offer cutting-edge IVF treatments as part of your comprehensive fertility journey.

After delivering my first baby at the Sutherland Hospital nearly 20 years ago, I knew what I wanted to do with my life. This profound experience ignited my passion and shaped my career path. Today, each pregnancy and delivery fills me with an unparalleled sense of joy and purpose. It's a privilege to support families through this transformative journey, and I am deeply committed to providing compassionate care every step of the way.

During our consultations, my approach is relaxed and focused on making you feel as comfortable as possible. Your input is incredibly important to me, and I always strive to accommodate your wishes in creating your birth plan.
Pregnancy can bring about a mix of emotions, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. Alongside the dedicated Anaria team, I'm available day or night to address any concerns or uncertainties you may have. Outside of work...
When I’m not at work, I cherish precious moments with my wife and our young son, Leo. He’s growing way too fast for my liking! I like to unwind through natural and creative outlets. I can’t be too far from the ocean, and I enjoy painting and collecting musical instruments.
Organic gardening calms my mind and teaches me patience in this world of instant gratification. And nothing tastes quite as good as home-grown tomatoes (if only the bugs didn’t get to them first!).

OUR ROOMS
Anaria is a very short walk from both Kareena Private and Sutherland Hospitals, which is where our patients who need an operation are admitted. For your convenience, we offer onsite underground parking with internal lift access.
